NHCS History

In July 1982, the New Hope Christian Day Care Center was established by Pastor Jerry Young, with an ultimate vision of developing a Christian School. New Hope Kindergarten and Day Care Center began serving children ages 3 through 5.

In 1989, the Kindergarten and Day Care Center became New Hope Christian School which served children ages 6 months through first grade.

The first graduation from the elementary school that had grown to serve students through 6th grade was held in May 1994.

In 1997, the Family Life Center was completed and dedicated. The elementary division of New Hope Christian School moved into this new facility. Ms. Jerlen Young was hired as the school's Business Administrator.

For over 30 yeras, NHCS has provided that "distinctive difference" for students and parents, by helping parents in fulfilling their God-given responsibility to educate and train their children by providing them with a God-centered, Christ-honoring education with develops the total child: spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally. Ensuring that its students not only can count but know what counts by educating both the head and the heart of its students, NHCS continues to instill in its students a Christian-world and life view which equips them for life here on earth and for eternity while "igniting a passion, infusing young minds, and impacting the community."
